Thierry Robrecht was born on February 11, 1960 in the Belgian capital Brussels. He has been writing children’s books since fifteen years now, often about subjects that children find difficult to talk about, e.g. secrets, death, envy and rage. In his novels, usually detectives, the most common theme is a family secret. His characters usually have to reveal a mistake that their parents made but did not admit. He tries to make the stories exciting, with a touch of humor.
Robrecht also likes to write comic book novels. His first comic book was published by the Belgian publisher Casterman.
Robrecht is also a screenwriter and songwriter for Belgian singer Marca.
He currently lives in Brussels, where he has dedicated himself to his passion for literature.
